Marasa, Virginia M (Palmacci) of a long time resident of Lexington passing peacefully on March 19. Beloved wife of the late Frank A. Marasa. She was born on March 9th 1932, the youngest child of the late Teresa and Angelo Palmacci of Cambridge. Loving mother of Frank of Colorado, Vincent of Boston, Carol of Mashpee and Jeanette Johnson (Michael) of Chelmsford. Predeceased by her youngest son James. Predeceased by her sisters Alba, Loretta, Ilia and her brother Frank. Beloved Grandmother of Victor and Bianca of Colorado, Marisa MacLean of Wrentham, Kristen Baker of New Hampshire, Madeline Marasa Dorado of Mashpee and Nicholas Johnson of Medford and great grandmother to Nolan and Callahan. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from The DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass Avenue ARLINGTON Thursday morning at 9:00, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 in St. Brigid Church, Lexington. Interment to follow Westview Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00pm. In lieu of Flowers a donation to a charity of choice would be appreciated. "Ginny" grew up in Cambridge but lived in Lexington for over 60 years. She was a talented crafter who enjoyed knitting, ceramics and sewing and she passed her talents on to her children. She enjoyed family gatherings and was fond of going to Foxwoods. She was an avid reader and problem solver; she was always doing word puzzles. She loved animals and supported many of their charities. In her younger days she enjoyed traveling but time with her family was most important to her.
