TORILLI, Vincent J. of Watertown, MA passed away peacefully on November 25th. He was a lifelong resident of Watertown and born to Pasquale and Angelina Torilli on January 9, 1930. He graduated from Watertown High School (WHS) 1948 and in 1951 was drafted into the US Army, where he served in the Korean War. Soon after the war he started his career at Raytheon, where he worked for 39 years in Production Control. In 1956 he married the love of his life Sarah, another 1948 graduate of WHS, and together they settled their family in Watertown.
Vincent was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and brother-in-law, and his greatest joy was spending time with his entire family. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved his role as Papa. He was a thoughtful, kind, compassionate and caring person who always made those around him feel happy. He enjoyed building his cottage in Hillsboro NH, going camping with family and friends, fishing, and travelling with the North Waltham Seniors to various locations in the US and Europe. He loved all sports and especially playing golf with his grandchildren.
Vincent is survived by family members: wife Sarah (Pino) Torilli; son Vincent Torilli Jr (wife Pamolyn) of Cranston, RI; daughter Tina Waitt (husband Robert) of Watertown, MA; daughter Nancy Mullane (husband David) of Chelmsford, MA; son Paul Torilli (wife Kathy) of Stow, MA; sister Mary Plummer of Chelmsford, MA; sister Elizabeth Mancuso of Florida; and his many nieces and nephews. Cherished grandfather to Vincent Torilli III and his wife Nicole, Michael Torilli and his wife Nancy, Bobby Waitt and his wife Christie, Brian Waitt and his wife Jaclyn, Rose Mullane, Eric Mullane, and Siena Torilli. Dear great grandfather to Kelsey, Jack, Calvin, Emily, Will, Grace, and Charlie. He was predeceased by his sister Antoinette Minton of Tennessee and brother Peter Torilli of Watertown, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN on Wednesday December 1st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday December 2nd at 10:00am in the Sacred Heart Church of Watertown. Interment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
