In Our Care
Stella Page, Age 89, of Wakefield MA passed away on Sunday, May 7th 2023 at Woburn Nursing Center. Stella was born in New York City on June 26th 1933 to the late George and Mary Mallas. After graduating high school Stella worked at the Pierre Hotel, where she helped lead events and receptions for some of the top celebrity and political icons of her time.
Stella left her work at The Pierre after bringing her two daughters Susan and Janet Page into the world. She was a devoted mother and took care of them until they both passed on tragically, in their adulthood, due to long battles with cancer.
She remained a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter Jessica Page and sister to her older sibling Des. She was notoriously loved by her clients who she helped purchase their dream homes while walking them through the complicated process of mortgage lending, a position she held for over 30 years.
She will be remembered for her love of gardening, and especially her prized orchid collection. She will also be remembered for her love of animals and all wildlife as she regularly donated to the WWF as well as many other charitable foundations of that nature. Stella's memories will live on through her many acts of kindness and willingness to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed.
