DeFeo, Roberta E. (Kezima) of Arlington on February 27th. Succumbed to a quick but fierce battle with cancer peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Beloved daughter of the late Robert Kezima and Sylvia (DiPerna) Kezima. Survived by her children Keith Coburn and Sylvia (Coburn) Stevens, her son-in-law Brook Stevens, and their children Robert and Kaid Stevens, Roberta’s brother, Richard Kezima, along with his children Eric Kezima, wife Kimberly Kezima, and their children Alyssia, Mia, and Stephanie and Bryan Kezima, wife Jennifer Kezima, and their children TJ and Adrianna, as well as many cousins and great nieces and nephews.
Roberta was a proud resident of Arlington most of her life. She attended Ottoson Junior High and graduated from Arlington High School in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart Carmine “Snooky” Ranauro and began their family in Arlington. Together, they were members of the Sons of Italy lodge in Arlington and made many good friends and memories there. Roberta was a dedicated wife and mother and took pride in her home and her family’s accomplishments. Roberta was overjoyed with the arrival of her two grandchildren, Robbie and Kaid, and delighted in being an integral part of their daily comings and goings. Many of their friends called her Nana as well, and she enjoyed making sweets and catching up with all of them. Roberta was also a beloved member of her neighborhood, and many children and adults alike would stop to chat with her on the front steps. She loved to be at the heart of her family and neighborhood.
Funeral from the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON on Thursday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at 10 am in St. Agnes Church; visit cparl.org to livestream. Burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm.
