Born in San Donato, Italy on January 11, 1931

Grandfather to Jessica, Gina, Michael, Paul, Laura, Juliana, Diana, Bobby, Daniel, and Charlie. Great grandfather to Kenna and Eve.
Son of the late Carolina (Decina) and Cesidio Salvucci.
Brother of Nino and his wife Maria Salvucci of Atina Italy, and Cesidia and her husband Domenico Visco of Brighton.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit in The DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn Street, WATERTOWN on Thursday 2:00 to 8:00pm and to a funeral home service Friday at 10:00am. Entombment to follow Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Pompeo and his young pregnant bride came to America by boat in 1956, moved into his parent's home in Brighton, and immediately began working the next day as a landscaper. Weeks later he got a job as a mason to practice the trade he began to learn at a trade school in his native Italy. He mastered the craft and became a skilled brick and stone mason. In addition to working for years as a commercial mason, he left his mark by volunteering his craft to many family and friends and was always happiest with a tool in his hand. He was a self-made success who worked day and night to provide a better life for his family than he had as a young man in Italy. He loved his home-made wine, good food, and being surrounded by his family.
