Paul Caruso of Arlington passed peacefully at his home with his family at his side on July 27th. Beloved husband of Maria A. (Corapi) Caruso, father of Lena Caruso LaFauci and her late husband James of Billerica, John and his wife Charlene of Lexington, Roberto and his wife Jamie of Lexington, Paul and his wife Amy of Bedford and Amerigo and his wife Jennifer of Lexington. Paul is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Funeral from The DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass Avenue ARLINGTON Tuesday morning at 9:00 followed by his funeral mass at 10:00 in St. Agnes Church. Interment to follow Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4 to 8pm. Paul was the son of the late Americo and Emma (Cataldo) Caruso. As a young teen, Paul enlisted in the Italian Army. Following his service, he traveled to Switzerland, where he became close with a family and assisted them in running their business. In the early 1950's, Paul's friend asked him to travel to Canada, where they rented a place to live and found work. Shortly after, Paul began to travel back and forth from Canada to the United States to work with his uncle in Revere, MA. During his time in the U.S., Paul met Maria Corapi through a cousin and eventually married her on June 14th,1959. Paul's life blossomed as he founded P & C Landscaping, where he worked all day, while also working in a factory at night. In 1961, Paul became a U.S. Citizen, while helping siblings and friends come to the United States. He provided them with work and aided them in starting their own businesses. His four sons began working after school for P & C Landscaping, who helped Paul establish and grow the business into the successful company it is today . Paul was an avid gardener and enjoyed his fig trees. He also enjoyed cars, playing cards, and traveling. He especially loved traveling in the winter to Italy, Argentina and Hawaii. He made friends easily wherever he went, with his charm, intelligence and wit. Paul loved his wife, kids and grandchildren
