Margaret Callahan of West Yarmouth, formerly of Arlington, MA on June 21, 2022. Cherished daughter of the late Denis and Margaret Callahan. Dear sister of Noreen Cronin, Denis Callahan, Kathleen Grannan, Christine Shanley and the late Mary Guarente, Ann Tibbetts, John Callahan and Eileen Perini. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Margaret was a talented individual in many areas of her life. She was the first female recipient of the scholar athlete award at Arlington High School. An avid golfer, Margaret played consistently and enjoyed her last round a few days before her passing. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, painting, traveling and time spent with family and friends. She was loved by her many nieces and nephews. Margaret taught in the Newton school system for many years. She loved teaching and would later recall her valuable experiences. Her talent for relaying her memories into life lessons always prevailed and entertained those who knew her. She will be missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON on July 20th from 10:00 - 11:00 am and to her Funeral Mass at 11:30 am in St. Agnes Church.
