In Our Care
Manuel Rodriguez passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on Monday morning, June 26, 2017. He was born in Havana, Cuba. He was the son of the late Aurelia Amigo and Luis Rodriguez. Manuel, his wife, and his older daughter moved from Cuba to the United States in 1961. The family lived in Watertown and were parishioners of Sacred Heart Parish for over 50 years. Manuel worked at State Street Bank as a tax accountant until his retirement in 1985. The years following his retirement centered around his grandchildren. He never missed an important milestone in their lives and was the loudest and proudest spectator in any of their athletic, school and life events. Manuel was the happiest at home enjoying family meals, celebrating holidays and being surrounded by his family and friends.
