MacDonald Lois E., age 87, died Thursday March 24,2016 of pneumonia at the Whidden Hospital in Everett. A lifelong resident of Somerville, and graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1946, she was an avid reader and was retired from the Somerville Library. She was also a long-time volunteer at Somerville Hospital. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Somerville- United Church of Christ for over 60 years. She enjoyed the last thirteen years in the Excel Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation "in the country" in Lexington. Funeral arrangements are private. She will be laid to rest with her family at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
