Leona J. (Prindle) Lincoln of Arlington, formerly of West Yarmouth and Bristol, CT, passed away on June 14, 2018. Loving wife of the late Thomas J. Lincoln. Beloved mother to Christine Beigbeder and her husband Stephen of East Walpole, MA, Perry Lincoln and his wife Miriam of Simsbury, CT, Beth Kelley and her husband Michael of Medford, MA, and Kim Lincoln of Melrose, MA. Dear grandmother of Sarah (husband Carter), Thomas, Meredith (husband Jason), Eric, Paul, and Will. Loving great grandmother to Lincoln. Sister of Dorothy Nicoletti of Bristol, CT and the late Barbara Bachand. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Instilling the value of education in her family, Leona returned to complete her college degree later in life, earning her Associates and Bachelor’s degrees from Tunxis Community College and Central Connecticut State University respectively. A lifelong learner, she continued to take classes well into retirement. She loved Cape Cod, and with her husband fulfilled a dream of retiring there, where she enjoyed walking the beaches and watching the birds.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service in the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON, on Thursday June 21 at 11:00am. She will be buried with her husband at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers donations in Leona's name may be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society by visiting www.massaudubon.org or The Cape Cod National Seashore by visiting www.nationalparks.org
