Swope, Katharine Freeman, of McLean, VA, died on Saturday, July 21, at Maristhill Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Waltham, MA. Beloved mother of K.C. Kourtz (Richard) of Arlington, MA, and Hilary Barnes (Edward) of Fairfax, VA. Cherished grandmother of Charlotte and Faye. Loving sister of Joe Pinto (Patricia) of Clifton Park, NY, and Mary Sorhaindo of Brentwood, CA. She is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Campbell, of Williamsburg, VA. Katharine is also survived by several nieces, one nephew, and many wonderful friends.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, at St. Eulalia Church in Winchester, MA, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow immediately afterward at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington, MA.
