Joy (Schnare) Gallagher of Lawrence, a homemaker, died April 4 in Lawrence. She was 53.

Born in and raised in Arlington, Mrs. Gallagher was a resident of Lawrence for a few years. She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her daughter, Jackie Krystal Schnare; three sisters, Julia Carco, Jill Raithel and Joanne Schnare; two brothers, Harris Schnare and Robert Schnare; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Agnes Church, Arlington.

Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
