John R. Sullivan of Cambridge, formerly of Watertown, passed away on December 30, 2022 at the age of 88 after a battle with cancer. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Fran (Citino) Sullivan; his son Mark Sullivan; his daughter Debra Wilkes; his grandchildren who meant the world to him, grandson Drew Lorenzo and his fiancee Marissa Matos; his granddaughter Hayley Lorenzo and her fiance Tyler Pirnie. Son of the late Mary (Riccio) Sullivan and Henry Sullivan. Brother of Claire Wigandt, Mary Ann Sullivan and the late Henry and his wife Mary, Robert, Joe and his wife Elaine, Rosemarie Hullihen and Janet Sullivan and her husband Jim. The Citino family who he loved like his own, Elizabeth Citino; Orlando Citino and his wife June; and the late Vito Citino and his wife Doris; Camille Fratto and her husband Tom; Grace Colosimo and her husband Joseph; Ralph Citino and his wife Loretta; Michael Citino and his wife Terpsie; Anthony (Vic) Citino and his wife Dee; Mary Shell and her husband Bob; Anne Cucchi and her husband Tony. John was close to all his nieces and nephews and loved them dearly.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and served proudly. John worked for many years at Printed Circuit in Waltham, Norfolk County Treasurer's Office and retired from the Mass Turnpike Authority. He was also a member and past president of the Belmont Sons of Italy and worked for Clark and White and McGovern Auto of Newton after he retired from the state.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St. WATERTOWN, on Wednesday January 4th from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. A funeral Mass will be held in the Sacred Heart Church on Thursday January 5th at 12:00 noon. Interment and military honors to follow in the Cambridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org
