Downey, John W. “Jack” a resident of Billerica and Watertown formerly of Somerville on September 7th. Beloved husband of Regina (Daniels) Downey. Loving stepfather of David Martin, Michael Martin and his wife Sheryl, Kim Martin, Shawn Martin and his wife Meaghan and Scott Martin and his wife Darcie. Also survived by his son Brendan Downey. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Riley, Brady, Joey, Kylie, Chase, Colin, Dylan and MacKenzie. Brother of Edward Downey Jr. and his wife Trudy and Robert Downey and his wife Evelyn and the late Barbara Downey. Also survived by his many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. Son of the late Edward Downey Sr. and Pearl (Pforte) Downey. Jack was a Sergeant in the US Army serving in Vietnam and also attended Northeastern University. He worked as a meat cutter at Market Basket for many years where he formed many friendships and loved to cook meals for his family every Sunday and over the holidays. Jack was a proud grandfather who always made time to attend sporting events for all his grandchildren throughout the years.
