Cochran, John Clarence of Arlington died on May 9, 2016 of injuries sustained in a car crash on Route 2 in Arlington on May 2, 2016. John is pre-deceased by his brother Paul M. Cochran. John is survived by Paul's wife Mary L. Cochran, stepson Ricky Williams of Arlington Ma, his sister M. Patricia Clark and her husband John J. of Ithaca NY and many life-time close friends also many nieces and nephews who are descendants of Clarence “Chummy” and Mae Cochran, owners of Chummys Market where John helped out all his school years.
John graduated from Matignon High School and Boston College. He played basketball at Matignon and served as a teacher, principal, coach, AA sponsor and mentor to many throughout his entire life. He will be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., Arlington on Monday May 16 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following the visitation hour, there will be an interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington. At the family's request please omit flowers.
