Jacquelynne O'Rourke (Forrest) beloved wife of the late James E. O'Rourke II passed away April 2, 2018 after a short illness. Born in Marlborough, MA to the late James and Eva Forrest. Jacquelynne attended grammar school at Immaculate Conception Parish, in Marlborough, MA grades 1-8 were she achieved academic excellence.She was awarded double promotion from grades 1 to 3. She attended Marlboro High School were she continued academic excellence graduating with a 3.8 GPA. While at Marlboro High School Jackie was very active in several clubs including Art, Debate and Ancient History. She was also valedictorian of her senior class. She was awarded several college scholarships but unselfishly chose to embark on a working career in order to financially help support her family including eight siblings. Jacquelynne and Jim settled in Connecticut and raised their family. Brookfield, CT was the longtime place they called home and for the past several years settled in Niantic, CT. Jacquelynne was the loving mother of Erin and her husband Robert Steele II of Milford, CT, Kathleen O'Rourke of Norwalk, CT, Evy and her husband Jeff Drew of NY and Shamus O'Rourke and his wife Krista of Orange, CT. She was the dear grandmother of Robert III, Zachary and Oliver Steele, Noah and Lucas Drew and Haegan, Conlan and Declan O'Rourke. Jackie was the cherished sister of Pat Forrest, Peter Forrest and wife Elsa, Faith and husband Joe Buscone, Tommy Forrest and wife Kathy, Alberta and husband Bob Fitzpatrick and the late Dennis, Paul and Michael Forrest. Jacquelynne loved her family but also enjoyed successful careers in Real Estate and Bridal Consulting in the Danbury, CT area. She added an element of beauty to everything she touched. She will be greatly missed. Jacquelynne is with her beloved Jim once again. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday in the Thomas Neilan Funeral Home 48 Grand St, Niantic, CT from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11 am in St. Agnes Church Niantic, CT. To honor and celebrate her life the family has requested that on white color floral tributes be offered or if desired memorial donations to: Masonicare Hospice 22 Masonic Ave., Wallingford, CT 06492 would be appreciated.
