George H. Joseph of Milton, MA passed away peacefully on July 23, 2023, supported by the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, MA, as well as his family and friends. A private individual, he was also incredibly kind and brought great joy to family members and friends. He was born in Boston, MA on May 20, 1942 to James and Blanche (Thorne) Joseph who predeceased him. He was a graduate of North Quincy High School and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany, and was a longterm employee of Travelers Insurance Company as a Claims Adjuster.

George is survived by his fraternal twin brother Robert and wife Christine of Winchester, MA; sister Beverly and husband David of Warwick, MA; nieces Lynn, Leigh, Karin, Gayle, Amie, and Molly; grand-nieces Meg, Samantha, Nina, Eleanor, Sonia, and Ursula; and grand-nephews Jake, James, Nick, Nathan, Neal, Pierce, and Bobby; as well as several cousins.

George was a lover of art and music, fishing, hiking, often within the Blue Hills Reservation. He was an avid gardener and created a beautiful and peaceful setting in his yard, including his fishpond. He will be remembered at holiday gatherings, where he was always his own worst critic of his delicious baked goods. No services are planned, although his family and friends will find many opportunities to celebrate, honor and remember George's life.
