Rudkin, Florence B. of Rockport formerly of Arlington on July 31, 2018 at the age of 99. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph G. Rudkin and Ellen M. Taylor. A WWII USMC Veteran she graduated from flight school as an Aviation Machinist Mate, Aero Technician from U.S. Naval Air Base Norman, Oklahoma. She returned home to Boston where she graduated from Boston University with a Masters degree in Social Sciences.
Barbara was employed for 20 years as a psychotherapist for VA hospitals. After retiring from the VA, Barbara volunteered at Senior Care of Gloucester and became their employee after finding retirement not to her liking.
Barbara loved living in Rockport and had a special fondness for Bearskin Neck and the Rockport Harbor. She will be greatly missed by her best friend of 75 years Eileen O'Connell and her son Mark Ellis, the Clan O'Connell, "niece" Barbara Aptt, and her many special friends.
