Elaine Janet Griffin (MacLeod) entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family by her side on June 14, 2021. Elaine was born on July 12, 1935, and was married to the love of her life Francis X. Griffin of Arlington for over 65 years. Loving Mother of Francis Griffin and his wife Karen, John Griffin and his wife Maureen, Daniel Griffin and his wife Ginny, Thomas Griffin and his wife Jacqui, Karen Fitzgerald and her husband Daniel, Robert Griffin and his wife Katie all of Arlington, and Kathleen Potter of North Reading. Grammy to Keely, Nolan, Brendan, Aidan, the late Matthew, Luke, Andrew, Bryan and his wife Alex, Michael and his wife Becca, Faith, Shannon and Molly Griffin, Ashley Geib and her husband Shane, Daniel and Kayla Fitzgerald, Melissa, Thomas, Jared, Marky, Sarah, and Griffin Potter. Great Grammy to Cole and Addison Griffin. Loving aunt to many nieces, nephews and family. Sister of the late Wayne MacLeod and sister-in-law of Catherine Griffin, Katherine Griffin and her late husband James and the late Mary Desmond and her husband James and the late Sissy MacLeod. Beloved daughter of the late W. Gordon and Mabel MacLeod of Prince Edward Island, and Arlington, MA. Elaine was most proud of her seven children, twenty-one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She loved to brag about their accomplishments and was a fixture in the stands at all of their sporting events, dance recitals, and school activities. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, face-timing, playing cards, square dancing, and vacationing in Wells Beach and Aruba. Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON on Friday from 4-8 pm and to her funeral mass on Saturday at 10 am in St Agnes Church.
