Lansil, Dorothy J. "Dot" on March 12th, peacefully at home at the age of 93. A lifelong resident of Arlington, she graduated Chandler Secretarial School, and spent her entire career at Anderson Engineering in Cambridge. Dot leaves behind countless dear friends as well as a rich legacy of generosity and volunteerism – most notably her affiliations with the Arlington Friends of the Drama and Arlington Senior Association. Surviving members of Dot’s family include her siblings Charlotte (Lansil) Sullivan, Richard Lansil, three neices, one nephew, and two grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford Lansil and Marie (Jary) Lansil. A private family memorial will be held at a future date. Dot’s life will be celebrated as part of the Arlington Senior Association’s luncheon to be held in conjunction with the reopening of the Senior Center in the fall of 2021.
