In Our Care
BRAWN, Dorothy E. (Copeland) of Arlington passed away peacefully at home on May 23rd, at the age of 99. Loving mother of Lynda Brawn and partner Ken Towl, of Tyngsborough, Ken Brawn and wife, Paula, of Tewksbury. Proud grandmother of Emily Brawn of Arlington and Scott Brawn of Beverly. Dear aunt of Nicholas Copeland of England and Jonathan Copeland of Bali.
She was born in Brookline, MA and moved to N. Ireland with her family until age 20. She then came back to America, married and raised a family. Dorothy started her career at age 57 and retired 30 years later from the Arlington Visiting Nurses Association. She loved caring for others.
She was a great role model and amazing woman who always saw the good in everyone and everything. She may have been small in stature but had a feisty personality. She loved having her granddaughter live with her and her grandson's visits.
In her later years she enjoyed car rides and a tasty filet of fish sitting by Spy Pond. She will be greatly missed. All arrangements will be private.
