Howard, Doris Ann (Harold) of Arlington, died on June 13, 2023. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and confidant to all who encountered her. She is survived by her four sons; David M. Howard of Billerica, Daniel S. Howard of New Gloucester, ME, Wayne T. Howard and his wife Tanya of Longmont, CO, and Gary E. Howard and his wife Suzanne of Burlington. Also survived by her seven grandchildren; Nora, Hannah, Heather, Lara, Alexander, Nicolas and Lindsey Howard and countless friends. She has joined her two brothers Gerald Harold and Neil Harold, as well as her parents, Nora (Crowley) and Cornelius Harold and her beloved Aunt Maisie in Heaven. She was adored and will be mourned by her sister-in-law Helen (McCarthy) Harold.

Born in Cambridge, she lived there until the age of 10 when she moved to Arlington with her mother and two brothers Neil and Gerald. She attended the Locke Grammar School, Ottoson Jr. High and Arlington High School. She was a primary homemaker and took great pride in being a mother and grandmother. Doris loved to dance, her personality and humor could light up any room and made even the cloudiest of days feel sunny. She loved Elvis Presley, always read to her grandchildren and loved the color purple. She loved the beach; especially Old Orchard Beach with her family on family vacations. She loved getting her nails done and dressing up. Doris was loved by absolutely everyone who met her, those who haven't seen her in a long time ask about her often.

Funeral from the DeVito Funeral Home, 1145 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON on Friday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at 10 am in St. Camillus Church. Burial to follow in Cambridge Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
