Dora Marie (Romagna) Sateriale passed on June 21, 2019. Dora was born in her parent’s home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she was the middle child of five (Peter, Nina, Dora, Hugo, and Laura). Of her siblings, Dora is survived by her sister Laura (Romagna) Serena.
In 1946 she married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Gordon Sateriale. They were married for almost 73 years. Together they had four sons: Kenneth (Eileen), Norman (Brenda), Mark (Elaine), and Alan (Cheryl). Dora is survived by her sons, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Dora was a woman of deep faith in God, and a great love of family. She exemplified Christian virtues and set an example in kindness, humility, and love which shined like a beacon in the darkness.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN on Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 am and to her funeral mass at 11:00 am in St. Peter Parish, Cambridge. Burial to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to donate to the charity of your choice.
