David J. Whitney, a lifelong Arlington resident passed away on March 16, 2019 at the age of 59 after a two year battle with cancer. Loving son of John and Anne (Nolan) Whitney and beloved brother of Carole DeVito and her husband John and Pamela Vershbow and her husband James. Cherished uncle of Johnny & Laura DeVito, Whitney & John Bowler, Kelly DeVito, Patrick & Abigail Vershbow and a "great" grand uncle to Nolan, Riley and Ryan. David is survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Margaret and Owen Nolan, Eunice and Phil Whitney and his uncles Peter Whitney, Rick Hackley and Jackie Nolan. Relatives and friends invited to visit on Friday from 4-8 pm in the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., Arlington and to his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 am in St. Eulalia Church.
