Carmela E. Pagliaro (Curcio) passed away on November 16, 2020 at the age of 98. Carmela was born in Watertown, lived much of her life in Cambridge before settling back to Watertown. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Pagliaro Sr., and is survived by her loving son Joseph A. Pagliaro Jr., and his companion Karen McKay of Watertown. Daughter of the late Salvatore and Elizabeth (Calorio) Curcio and predeceased by her siblings Fortunata Oppedisano, Leonard Curcio, Rose Aceto, Angie DiClemente, Antoinette English and Dominic Curcio. Carmela will be fondly remembered by her loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to visit on Monday commencing at 8:30 am at the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown and to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in the Sacred Heart Church. Interment will conclude at Cambridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Carmela's memory may be directed to: Lt. Paul J. Sullivan Scholarship Fund PO Box 95 Watertown, MA 02171.
Carmela was the most generous and caring person that all of her family, friends, and visitors experienced first hand. She was always cooking and baking to feed people and sending home care packages with her wonderful treats. She always remembered family and their special occasions with cards and her handmade baby gifts were simply amazing!
Carmela was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker and was most proud of her career working for the Mugar Family at Star Market.
