In Our Care
Carla Paratore was born in Moncalvo, Italy on June 27, 1923. After surviving World War II, she immigrated to the United States in 1949. She married Dominick Paratore, her husband of 57 years before his passing in 2006. A devout Catholic, Carla spent many years volunteering her time to the upkeep of the rectory and altar of St. Joseph’s Church in Belmont. She was also a member of the Salesian Cooperators of Don Bosco, spending many years involved in charities helping the homeless. Above all, Carla was an adored mother to her two daughters Josephine and Susan and her husband, Charlie, grandmother to her granddaughters Ali and Michelle and recently became a great-grandmother to Cody. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her fiery and strong spirit.
Funeral from the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN on Friday March 23rd at 8 am with a funeral mass to be held at 9 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Belmont. Burial to follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Relative and friends are invited to visit in the funeral home on Thursday March 22nd from 5:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carla’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital stjude.org/donate.
