Barbara H. Underwood of Arlington passed away on November 10, 2022 at the age of 87.

She was born in Cambridge MA to the late William and Lola (Cooledge) Huber and grew up in Stoneham MA. After high school she attended business school and pursued her professional administrative career at a law firm and in the insurance industry. While working at New England Life Insurance, she met her husband Bob. They lived in Boston's Back Bay but later settled in Arlington to raise a family. She later returned to work as a grocery cashier becoming a fixture at Johnnie's Foodmaster in Arlington until her retirement.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Robert L. Underwood to whom she had been married for 37 years. Barbara is survived by her son Rob and his partner Keith Kenez of Boston, MA; her son Erich and his husband Chris Fernandes of Arlington, MA; as well as nieces and nephews on both sides of her family.
