In Loving Memory of Barbara Jean (Mitchell) Mahoney

Barbara ( Mitchell ) Mahoney of Tewksbury, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 19, 2021 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s comforted by her family.

Born in Boston, MA, she was the eldest child of Thomas and Kathryn Mitchell, sister of the late Gail McCormick of Colorado and the late Thomas Mitchell III of Arlington. She married John Patrick ( Jocko ) Mahoney Jr on November 5, 1955 and they had fifteen children who they raised in Arlington.
Barbara is survived by her children:

Cathi Davis of Somersworth, NH, Cyndi Ferrante of Chelmsford MA, Jack Mahoney of Miami, Fl, Cheri Mahoney of Reading, MA, Carolyn Mahoney of Wakefield, MA, Tini DeProfio of Middleton, NH, Claire Parkhurst of Franklin, MA, the late Carin Mahoney of Woburn, MA, Connie Mahoney of Woburn, MA, Jim Mahoney of Nashua, NH, Corinne Russo of Watertown, MA, Barbara Baum of Amherst, NH, Joe Mahoney of Tewksbury, MA, Beverly Lyons of Watertown, MA and Billy Mahoney of Chelmsford, MA. And her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donations in her name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. A private family service is planned.
