Anne G. (Goepper) Aftuck of Arlington passed away on Saturday June 5th at the Mt. Auburn Hospital.
Born in Boston, MA to the late Kenneth and Rosemary (Brooks) Goepper. Anne was the beloved wife of Anthony Aftuck for over 53 years and loving mother of Scott Aftuck of Charlestown, Christine and her husband James Hanson Jr. of Medford and Lynne Aftuck of Arlington. She enjoyed spending time with family, which included numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins and godchildren. Anne was an avid Red Sox fan, crossword enthusiast, and animal lover. Anne enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a 2nd grade teacher at Bishop School in Arlington.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family on Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., Arlington and to her Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday at 10 am in St. Camillus Church, Arlington. Interment in family lot of Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
