Anatole Sykley passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2023 in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 71.
Anatole, was born on March 15, 1952 and raised in Melbourne, Australia and had just celebrated his birthday in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he resided. He was the devoted husband to his loving wife Juliana, exceptional father to daughter Micala, father-in-law to her husband Robert and proud new grandfather to their daughter Noel.
As a scholar and creative hobbyist, Anatole began his studies in Australia and was the child of immigrant parents from Ukraine. His compassion and charitable contributions aided efforts there presently, as well as throughout his lifetime.
A lifelong learner, he continued to pursue his education in the Greater Boston area, specializing in internet technologies and telecommunications.
Anatole continued to dedicate his life to research and passionately transmitted this love of learning to his students at various local community education centers, with a focus on history.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Andrew Orthodox Church in Boston on Tuesday March 28, 2023 at 11 am, to remember the irreplaceable and ever endearing presence of Anatole. Burial will follow the service at St. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Andrew Orthodox Church, 24 Orchardhill Rd., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
