Anastasia (Speros) Tsaltas, 79, of Danvers, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Sancta Maria Nursing Facility in Cambridge, MA. Beloved wife of the late Orestes (Rusty) Tsaltas of Peabody, MA. She was the youngest daughter in a family of twelve children, of the late Thomas and Julia (Sgouros) Speros of Cambridge, MA. Survived by her three older sisters: Iris Speros of Arlington, MA, Antonia Kourepinos, of Garden City. NY, Constantina Katsos of Arlington, MA, and her two younger brothers: Anthony T. Speros and wife Despina, of Arlington, MA, Nicholas T. Speros and wife Patricia of Burlington, MA and sister-in-law Frederika Speros of Winchester, MA. Losing her parents as a young teenager, she learned that the survival route was to work, work and more work. A former employee of Sears Credit of Salem, MA until its closing, CVS Pharmacy of Danvers, MA became her second home for 20+ years after the loss of her best friend Rusty at an early age. She was a strong, thoughtful, and caring person who loved her family, friends and CVS customers, creative, an avid reader, loyal friend, strong-willed, loved listening and dancing to Greek music never displaying her sadness with the complicated life she led. As she said many times "laughing on the outside, crying on the inside." Always tried her best to be independent, living with disabilities resulting from illnesses and surgeries…once told that she was a Miracle!
PEACE to our beautiful sister Anna. Relatives and friends are invited to visit Tuesday December 14 from 9:00 to 10:00am in St. Athanasius the Great Greek Orthodox Church 4 Appleton St., Arlington with a Funeral Service to commence at 10am. Interment to follow Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
