Alice Fliesmina Fernandes, 83 was born on November 17th, 1929 in Wareham, Massachusetts to Antone and Fliesmina (Gonsalves) Andrews of Wareham, MA. She is survived by her husband Lawrence J. Fernandes Sr., her brother John Andrews (Elma) of Plymton, MA, and her two brothers-in-law Samuel Williams-Bey of Hartford, CT, and Saul Brown of Bloomfield, CT. Alice is predeceased by her siblings Walter Andrews, Ben Andrews, Rose Andrews, Julia Teixeira, Angelina Willams-Bey, Antone Andrews, Frank Andrews, Christine Gomes, Mary Lopes, Domingo Andrews, and Janet Brown.

Alice leaves to mourn her seven children: Lawrence J. Fernandes Jr. of Boston, MA, Lorien S. Powell (Johnny) of Dorchester, MA, Mark A. Fernandes (Milka) of Lynn, MA, Peter D. Fernandes of New Bedford, MA, Patricia A. Fernandes of Lynn, MA, Allyson M. Okaroh (Francis) of Marlborough, MA, and Anthony G. Fernandes (Sheryl) of Hanson, MA. Alice is predeceased by her son Rodney Fernandes aka "Skipper" and grandson Craig A. Manns Sr. She was also a grandmother to 26 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren as well as countless nieces and nephews. Visiting in The DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown Monday 10:00 to 12:00 Noon with a funeral home service to commence at 12:00noon. Interment to follow Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
