Alan F. Ahern , 82 years of age, passed away June 25th , 2013. He was the beloved husband of Mary T. ( Walsh ) Ahern and loving father of Alan Ahern,Jr. of Billerica, Joann Darnell and husband Bill of Medford, Maryann Halpern and husband Brian of Billerica, and Thomas Ahern and wife Francine of Medford. Dear brother of Mary Martin of Waltham and the late Everett Ahern. Cherished grandfather of Mikayla Ahern, Heather , Jared, Jason and Catherine Darnell, Jena and husband Michael Ranucci, SPC Thomas Ahern and wife Tiffany and Patrick Ahern. Alan is also survived by his great grandson "LIttle Mikey" and many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave.,Arlington on Friday 4-8 p.m. and to Funeral Services on Saturday commencing at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church. Alan proudly service his country during the Korean War and was a Past Commander of Post 39 American Legion Arlington.
