Obituary For Patricia "Patti" Freedland

Freedland, Patricia "Patti" (Filosi) of Winchester, July 10th at the age of 66. Loving and beloved wife of Mark Freedland. Devoted daughter of Evelyn (Aurelia) and the late Michael Filosi. She is survived by several aunts and uncles, in-laws Jean and Dick, Ruth and niece Karen.

Patti passed away at home, as she wanted, after a brief but brave battle with glioblastoma. The pain caused by her absence is expressed by her husband in the words of Lord Alfred Tennyson, "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

Patti was a friend to so many. She brought a caring smile and warm heart to all those who knew her. Her last job as a cashier at a local supermarket was merely an outlet from which to spread her special kind of affection. Patti was known and loved by everyone who visited her at her register. She will be missed by all, and the world will be a little less bright for her passing.

The family thanks her caretakers at the various medical facilities that helped in Patti's cancer battle, especially Bernadette of Warm Hearted In-Home Care. Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON on Thursday from 10-11 am and to a funeral home service at 11 am. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org or Glioblastoma Foundation at glioblastomafoundation.org or PO Box 62066, Durham, NH 27715.

Condolences

Hello 👋 so very sorry for your loss
- John Finochetti
Mark, I am terribly saddened to hear of Patti's passing. I will remember her bright smile everytime she walked into the salon, and our conversations while her color processed and while I shampoo'd her hair. She use to love an extra cold rinse in the end and loved getting her hair washed. The world is definitely a sadder place knowing that she is no longer in it. May she rest in peace. My most sincerest condolences to you and her mother who she was always talking about. Maria Orlando Diego Salon Assistant

I had met Patti at the gym we went to. We always got along very well and had many laughs. Occasionally we would get together for coffee and eat out at a restaurant. Even though we didn't see each other much, we talked on the phone quite often and also by text. I will miss her so much as I have in the last 3 months since she's been sick. I love you Patti and will miss you dearly. My prayers and condolences to you Mark and Patti's mom. She will be forever in my heart. Debbie A

Mark & Patti's Mom, I was so so sad to read of Patti's passing. The last time I saw her was at the hairdressers with her mom. I met Patti when I was selling Real Estate and although we never had a transaction together I felt a strong kinship with her. She was a breath of fresh air whenever I was in her presence. Mark, I am so sorry for your loss! I have doctors' appointments on Thursday but will offer my prayers for all of you at Mass on Sunday. Sincerely, Kay Fennell

Patti was one of my best friends for over 40 years. She was the sister I never had. We have been thru everything, good times and not such good times. We were always there for each other. I will miss her laugh, her smile, her needing 15 to 20 napkins whenever we met for lunch or dinner, and her compassion for people. You will always be in my heart, my sister. Love u always Your sister❤️❤️

So very sorry that such a lovely, young vivacious person has passed. I did not know Patti personally, but my cousin was her dear friend and spoke so highly of her. She will truly be missed
