Obituary For Marie "Claire" Coscia

Marie "Claire" (Sicard) Coscia, of Arlington, formerly of Somerville, passed away on October 5th. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Coscia. Daughter of the late Julien and Lava Sicard. Loving mother to Marie Rufo of Burlington and Alan Coscia of Arlington. Dear grandmother to Jenna and Juliann Rufo of Burlington. Sister to the late J. Charles Sicard of Plum Island and Paul and Ann Sicard of Palm Harbor, FL.

Claire was a devoted wife and mother. She worked as Lead secretary at the John Hancock in Boston prior to meeting and marrying her husband Anthony in 1957. She enjoyed spending summers at White Horse Beach, playing bingo and taking trips to Las Vegas with her husband. She loved her two granddaughters and never missed their dance recitals, cheer competitions, or softball games. Claire was an avid knitter and donated multiple baby blankets and caps to local hospitals and craft fairs. Claire had a few close friends and cherished, talking, laughing, and going out to eat at the Arlington Diner.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 1145 Mass. Ave. ARLINGTON, on Friday October 7th from 8:30am to 9:30am. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am in the St. Agnes Church. Interment to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

    Marie and family, We were saddened to hear of Aunt Claire's passing. She was a kind and caring person and we have many fond memories of her and the times we got to spend with her. We especially recall the good times she and Ann enjoyed together. She will be missed God bless you and yours in this time of sadness. We will remember you and Aunt Claire in our prayers and Masses.
