Obituary For Joseph E. Fiore

Fiore, Joseph E. of Belmont and Naples, FL, died peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2022 at his home at Wyndemere surrounded by loved ones. Born in Boston on July 7, 1933, he was the son of the late John and Angelina Fiore. Joe, as he was known, was raised in the North End and attended Boston College where he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees. In 1960, he passed the Massachusetts Bar on his first try achieving the second highest score. Joe greatly enjoyed his profession as a lawyer and businessman and spent many years working with close colleagues including his lifelong friend, Chuck Arena as President of Hawkridge Steel. Earlier in his career, he was General Counsel to United Shoe and Machine Co. and Dennison Manufacturing. Joe was a longtime member of Oakley Country Club where he enjoyed many years of golf and camaraderie serving as its President and General Counsel. In Naples, Joe was active at Wyndemere Country Club where he lived for the past three decades serving fourteen years as President of Ambelwood. However, of all things that Joe valued, his family was the most important to him. He leaves behind his beloved and devoted wife, Annie Winn Fiore, with whom he shared many wonderful years. Throughout his life, Joe was the everpresent caring father to Mark J. Fiore of CA, Susan E. Fiore of NM, Nancy B. Fiore of Norwood & John J. Fiore of FL. He was the adoring grandfather of Rafaella Angelina Fiore-Mark of NM. Joe was predeceased by his first wife, Carolyn R. Fiore. Additionally, Joe leaves his stepchildren and their families, Angelina & Will Scales and their children Julia and William Jr. and Leanne & Max Klaisner and their son, Barron. Joe lived a full and robust life but he was never more joyful than when his home on the hill was bursting with fabulous Italian food, longtime pals, and his extended multi-generational family. Many will treasure memories of the Vigilia, Christmas, Easter or many other life celebrations that included Joe hosting the festivities in his inimitable and generous way. Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN on Thursday July 7th from 9:00 - 10:30 am and to his funeral mass at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Parish. Burial to follow in Highland Meadow Cemetery, Belmont. Thoughts, kind thoughts, go out to those left behind. Joe's spirit surely will live on, and not subtly. He leaves behind memories of joy, of mirth, of enduring love. Salute!
