I knew Jim from Smith Pl Cambridge where I also worked for Verizon. He had some jokes that made me laugh. Jim made going to work a pleasure. Wonderful memories .

With deepest sympathy to Jim's family, Diane, Matt and Tim. I have such great memories of growing up with Jim in our wonderful little neighborhood. We were all "family" back in the day. All types of sports, games, and parades. We had such a great childhood. Although we all went our separate ways the names, faces, and memories will be with us forever, Rest in Peace Jim. Lou Paragona

Mrs. Ryan, Erik and Kevin: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Ryan was always so friendly whenever I'd see him outside in the neighborhood. Thinking of you during this difficult time. -Maureen McCann

Jim was my across-the-street neighbor for over 25 years. He was always a friendly face, with a warm smile and a hearty hello. His kindness and warmth were undeniable. I've particularly enjoyed our more extended conversations in the last few years when then pandemic sent me working from home. Jim was a reassuring presence, knowledgeable about goings on in the neighborhood and town, helping make me feel more connected here. He offered knowing advice when I asked for it on a wide range of topics. I'll miss him. With deepest sympathies to Pat and her family. Bernie

Jim had an infectious smile. His family and mine grew up two house apart and we're that way for over 20 years. Was always interested in what we were doing but always warning us to be careful. I remember many times he would stop Matt and me from fighting and saying "Why are you fighting your best friends knock it off or are give you both a beating." Although I haven't seen him in more than forty years I will never forget him. I pray for all of us left behind until we meet again.

I have so many fond memories of Mr. Ryan. Two stand out. As kids he would take Kevin and me out in his New England Bell truck on jobs and on the bucket lift. He would let us wear the tool belt and hard hat. We would play in back (it was a the 80's!) with all the various nuts bolts and telephone equipment. If we were good maybe we could take dip in Marggie and Vinny's pool! The other memory was all the times he yelled at me for running on the grass he was growing lol! The Ryan family was like my extended family growing up and I wish Mr. Ryan Rest In Peace.
