Obituary For Erminia "Auntie Minnie" Errico

Erminia “Auntie Minnie” Errico – July 7, 2022 at 101 years old. A 63 year resident of Watertown and more recently of Bass River, Cape Cod, passed peacefully on July 7th having been surrounded by family and friends during the Independence Day weekend. Beloved Aunt of Stephen A. and his wife Tina Mosca of Bass River, MA, Christopher P. and his wife Gina M. Mosca of Augusta, Maine and the late Mary Carlene Mosca. Loving Great Aunt of Sam "Stephen Anthony II" and his wife, Tasha "Jun Wei" Mosca, Benjamin Lawrence, Carlene Nicole, Andrew Robert, Raymond Anthony, Christiana Marie and Caroline Emily Mosca. Loving sister of the late Nicoletta (Errico) Mosca, Domenic and Andrew Errico. Faithful servant of the medical practice, and a life-long student, she received nursing training at the time of WWII. Her only regret was being deemed "too short" to join the nursing core, and was unable to serve with her brothers and sisters fighting abroad. Despite this, Erminia had a career at Mass General Hospital, where she became one of the first female Nurse Anaesthetists in the country. In constant pursuit of higher learning, she went on to become a recipient of a Bachelors' degree from Framingham State University at the age of 54. A devout Catholic throughout her life, her faith guided her to spend the remainder of her working years caring for the elderly, (founder and CEO of the Natick Nursing Home) and strongly advocating for enhanced education opportunities for those with learning disabilities. Auntie Minnie was cherished by so many beloved great nieces and nephews and their friends and families, spanning multiple generations. Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. in The Church of St. Luke, Belmont. Interment to follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to Cardinal Cushing School, Hanover, MA in memory of her niece, Mary Carlene Mosca.

Steve,Tina & family, I just saw this, I have to say that Minnie was a treasure, always positive and sharp as any young person. I used to love when I would come to the house and have a chance to talk with her, I would always learn something. She had a life well lived and loved by all of your family, and that's a blessing. I will have good thoughts for Minnie and the rest of the family. God Bless.
