Condolences

Condolence From: Lewis M Schneider
Condolence: I can't believe you have left us Stuart. I was stunned to hear the news today (May 15). We had so many good times together viewing your fabulous railroad photos, playing with my toy trains, eating Chinese food, listening to stories of your various railroad escapades around the world, and engaging in railroad trivia contests. I didn't have the courage to follow you to Ecuador and other exotic locations. I couldn't see myself getting up before dawn to get a photo of a train in some deep canyon from the top of a mountain. I will miss your friendship and enthusiasm terribly. Lew Schneider

Condolence From: Greg Nazarow
Condolence: Stuart and I met in connection with a David Rodgers tour to Zimbabwe or South Africa in 1994 or 1995. You'll be sorely missed, Stuart, including your sense of humour, your outstanding photography and your 2-step ladder which was your constant companion on Dave's trips.
Hardly more than a year has passed since we saw each other last at WW&F in late March, 2016. Life is precious, and we often never know when it will be the last time we enjoy each other's company. Farewell.

Condolence From: Thomas Schultz
Condolence: Rest in Peace, Stuart,
I enjoyed your friendship and insight. I recall, fondly, sharing a sleeping car room with you on a tour to South Africa in the 1990s.
Your image at Tunnel 4, on Jing Peng Pass in Inner Mongolia, will live on as one of the finest images of steam locomotives ever recorded.

Condolence From: John Agnew
Condolence: Will miss you mate. Been 21 years since we chased steam in China, and now you are in that great steam shed in the sky. Keep a stall for me Stu. Regards and condolences to your family buddy from John and your other Kiwi and Aussie train friends downunder. You are sadly missed by us all, John.
